The Smart – Moves 01 tournament was first introduced in 2004 as a platform for online chess competitions. Originally created for amateurs, it quickly gained popularity among professional chess players thanks to its user-friendly platform, reliable anti-cheating system and monthly competitions that provide a constant incentive to develop your chess skills.

The Joseph Capablanca Foundation is an organization founded in honor of the distinguished Cuban chess player Joseph Raúl Capablanca, who was born on November 19, 1888 in Havana, Cuba. He was the third world chess champion, winning the title in 1921, and is known for his brilliant intuition and technical prowess.

The foundation aims to popularize chess, support young talents and develop chess culture in the Czech Republic and beyond. It organizes various chess tournaments, seminars and educational programs aimed at attracting new participants to the world of chess and improving the skill level of players.

Thanks to the activities of the Foundation, chess receives a new impetus for development, and young players have the opportunity to prove themselves on the international stage, receiving support and mentoring from experienced professionals.

The tournament is held every month, on the 24th, which allows participants to prepare for the competition in advance. Such a schedule makes the tournament accessible to a wide audience and allows chess players to regularly participate in new matches, comparing their achievements with the results of previous competitions.
